Gardening:  Making a beautiful sign of Jesus's Love for the neighborhood
Seven Stories
This course is an accessible study of non-violent theology understood through the bible.  The standard human mind-frame is one of violence, so God's self-revelation could only come, at first, through a filter of violence. But little by little the concepts are perceptibly changed, until at the end of the process Jesus fully displays the nonviolent character of the Father God. "Seven Stories" is the condensed account of this marvelous pathway. It is our hope that their message will prove the inspiration you have been looking for, and bring you to a place of deepest spiritual renewal. We just concluded a course here at Bethany in 2019. We are hoping for possibilities of perhaps running the course through other Christian communities in Syracuse during 2020. Check back here for updates!
The Seven Stories course developed out of the long standing Friday night studies that were and are the foundation of Bethany Center's non-violent theology.
You can find pdf's of some of our past studies here.

Community Gathering
Weekly on Thursday nights starting @7pm.

Our current bible study is on Names of God in the Bible. Biblical scripture is astonishing for the variety of names used for God. Names are ways into relationship. It is obvious the bible continues to probe the meaning and character of God through these names, until we reach the nonviolence of the Father/Mother of Jesus! Come join us Thursday evenings to experience this revelation!
Spirituality Sundays @8:30a.m.
Heather leads Jesus Yoga from 8:30am to 9:30am.  Silent Meditation starts at 10am followed by Eucharist.  Refreshments available afterwards.
